Enjoyed a good game last night at the Arena here in Palmerston North.
The Waikato Pistons were in town with a few big name players up against the Jets who were 0 and 3. These teams were at opposite ends of the table but as the game began it was great to see the Jets being competitive.
And the big boys came to play. The Pistons were in the end too big. They blocked many shots and the big don’t argue came out several times. It was great watching. The refs have it tough at this level. Twice I saw the ball go out and the ref make the wrong call. On both occasions Waikato got the short end – is that the home court advantage?
And all for only $10. Plenty of home games to come and a good way to see the basketball talent here in NZ.
Take a look at this set of stats from the game.
