Fitzherbert Park was a windy cold venue to sit and watch 100 over cricket but that was my day today. I willingly handed over a Kate Shepherd and strolled over to find CD were batting and in the 40s for 1 wicket.
After relocating to the boundary and seeking shelter from the hoardings I donned my socks and jacket and continued watching as the CD team steadily made their rins and totalled 280. Could have been a winning score but the ND team managed to surpass 280 with one wicket and one ball to spare.
A great days entertainment but no ground announcer or information at all. Rather dull atmosphere but generous applause from the crowd for various milestones during the game. Another one scheduled for Sunday.
