A blistering hot day today and I was stuck out in the heat – in fact I had paid $30 for the privilege – and so had several thousand other people. Manfeild was packed for a days summer racing.
Plenty of action on the track and off it. This event allows you to get very up close with all the action – the track viewing is superb from many different vantage points and you can stroll the pits when you need to get some blood circulating through your buttocks.
There are people everywhere and cars driving to and from the track for races. Support personnel, motor scooters, fourwheel motorbikes, delivery vans, the safety car – even a TVS presenter. You would imagine mayhem but as I rested in some shade I watched and the traffic flowed smoothly.
I left a little early deciding to avoid the traffic and the heat and headed home for a cool off in the shower!
